  • To ensure we reap the maximum benefits without harming the people and environment, we strive to improve our system and operations.
  • For the past few years, we have improve on the following:
    • Implement Plantation Micro Macro Program (PMMP)
    • Progressively implement mechanization including Mini Tractor Grabber (MTG) for in-field collection and fertilizer spreader
    • Renovate old fertilizer and chemical store to new one which are equipped with emergency shower and eyewash
    • Using clonal and semi clonal planting materials for replanting
    • Engage with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) for research purpose to enhance yield and quality of oil palm.

SUPPLIER CODE OF CONDUCT (SCOC)

  • The UMB Supplier Code of Conduct (SCOC) outlines the requirements that support UMB’s commitment to sustainable production. It applies to all suppliers—entities that sell goods or provide services—across UMB’s palm oil-related operations, subsidiaries, joint ventures, and companies under UMB’s management control.
  • UMB expects all suppliers to uphold and integrate the principles of the SCOC within their operations and supply chains. The Suppliers shall acknowledge their commitment by signing the SCOC in either English or Bahasa Malaysia and returning a copy for our record-keeping purposes. Suppliers covered under the SCOC include, but are not limited to:
    • Contractors and suppliers for operating units, Head Office, and Regional Offices
    • Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) suppliers
    • Agents for foreign worker recruitment
    • Suppliers and partners involved in engineering or collaboration projects
  • SCOC is subject to periodic revisions, and suppliers are responsible for referring to the latest version, available on UMB’s official website. The SCOC is provided in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. In case of any discrepancies, the English version shall prevail.
